Windsor Marketing Group (WMG) has announced the introduction of deep green skid pallets in their state-of-the-art, 160,000 square foot facility in Suffield, CT.
Windsor Marketing Group is an innovative in-store marketing group that creates, produces, and delivers shopper marketing programs that inspire and influence in-store buying patterns. The company was founded in 1976 and has grown to nearly 200 associates serving over 3,000 clients including some of the largest retailers in the U.S.
“As part of our on-going sustainability effort, Windsor Marketing Group is now offering a fully-recyclable skid-pallet to our customers,” said Kevin Armata, company founder and CEO. “The application fit with our sustainability goals and with our long tradition of environmental stewardship.”
The ‘deep green’ skid-pallet is a hexacomb-based paper pallet that contains approximately 11 percent recycled material. It can be made to hold any weight up to 5,000 pounds and is Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certified.
The adoption of Deep Green skid-pallets is part of Windsor Marketing Group’s overall sustainability philosophy which features a best-practices approach that includes the use of recycled paper that is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified along with the following initiatives;
- The installation of energy-efficient lighting throughout its facility including all its parking lot lights with energy efficient LEDs.
- A time-sensitive heating system designed to operate only when programmed, adding greater energy efficiency to the facility.
- A commitment to using the latest, most energy-efficient equipment for production and manufacturing
- The use of environmentally friendly, soy-based and UV-based inks in order to eliminate toxic emissions.
Windsor Marketing Group has also been innovative in the development of efficiencies in the production, packaging, and processing of jobs that have minimized waste and stabilized costs for the client.
