Continuing its long tradition of outstanding environmental stewardship and community involvement, Windsor Marketing Group (WMG) is partnering with Hilltop Farm in celebrating its centennial anniversary this spring and summer.
WMG will join the Friends of the Farm at Hilltop (FOFAH) for a formal announcement of the non-profit’s schedule of events to create awareness of the historical value and natural beauty of the farm while also promoting agriculture, conservation and preservation.
The Friends is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors and supported by volunteers. FOFAH will formally announce its purchase of the property and plans for the future with an event held on the grounds at 1616 Mapleton Avenue in Suffield on April 10.
Hilltop Farm is part of the northeast corner of Suffield’s more than 400 year old farming legacy. The property originally belonged to George Hendee of Indian Motorcycle fame who purchased 24 parcels in 1913 and created Hilltop Farm. Construction of Hendee’s signature dairy barn, a landmark in Suffield and “one of the finest in the state,” was completed in 1914.
FOFAH will present a mix of corporate and educational events in and around Suffield that begins in mid-May with “Black Tie, Blue Jeans Ball” being held in Suffield and culminates with the Harvest Dinner at the farm in mid-September.
Windsor Marketing Group is actively working with FOFAH and its volunteers on the development and execution of the Centennial celebration. Members of the WMG management team will serve on the celebration committee and spearhead fundraising efforts. WMG will also be designing and distributing all event marketing materials and collateral.
Additionally, WMG is staging a “Day at the Farm” event for its employees to assist with a late-spring clean-up and fence-painting at the farm.
